The Generalissimo is Dead is a game partly inspired by the film, The Death of Stalin, by Armando Ianucci. It also draws on the wider phenomena that surrounds dictatorial leaders who have a cult of personality, and how this impacts on their governments and power structures when things start to fall apart.
Players take on the roles of government ministers and state departments, as well as a couple of external corporations who have been permitted by the infinite generosity of the Generalissimo to operate within the powerful and glorious country of Yugenya.
As a developed and forward-looking nation, Yugenya’s political machinery is efficient and comradely, and certainly no parts of it harbour ambition or resentment to any other part. Were things to become destabilised, they would all no doubt band together for the greater good and triumph through unity! Or at least… that’s the theory.
Will the Transport Ministry or Revolutionary Guard keep upholding the values of our Dear Leader even when things begin to look difficult, and what exactly is the plan if the worst should happen… who takes power, and how can they ever hope to compare to the father of the nation, the Generalissimo?

“The players bought in. Clean design. Good vibe - I never saw anyone disengaged.”
“Great to see more players and new players returning with other new ones joining us. Great entertainment theme and super to see so many people enjoying themselves generally.”
“The input from the Facilitating team was incredibly valuable as there were many moments that I would have missed if it hadn't been for their quick comments and check-ins.”
“I liked the totalitarian state energy of "we're all friends"/"Imma kill you”!”
