The Game’s Afoot - 6th July - Nottingham
Game themes: Victorian London / Supernatural / 15+
Gameplay: Faction management / Conspiracy / Political / Gang conflict / Shifting teams and potential treachery / Occult oddities
This game will take place at a wheelchair-accessible venue and includes a lunch break
The Prussian ambassador’s accused the French embassy of spying on him, the Fenians have blown up a police station, a gang boss has gone on record that a ‘man-wolf beast’ ripped apart his crew in the middle of robbing a bank, and it’s just started raining frogs over Westminster Abbey. What is going on?!
In a game world that takes elements of real later Victorian history, popular culture, and tales of myth, you will be part of a faction with multiple goals and shifting alliances - why shouldn’t the Anarchists negotiate with this new chap from Transylvania? He recently arrived via Whitby Abbey, and has asked to meet in the dead of night…
There’s money to be made, power to be seized, and diplomacy to be carefully crafted - if you enjoy Victoriana, gothic tales, Sherlock Holmes, and maybe a dash of Peaky Blinders, then this is a game for you!
Player testimony from previous EMM games:
“Great energy in the room, fantastic quality components, fun game, great players”
“All facilitators were fantastic at explaining the rules… Just a brilliant high-energy mess of information gathering, negotiation, and team-work. Loved it to bits. All the maps were very intuitive and easy to understand. Everyone got so into it - the dread, the politics, the weirdness - very thematic.”
“Really enjoyed the game, great people and theme. Attention to detail was amazing and the facilitators were supportive.”
“OK now you’ve hooked me on megagames, when is the next one?”
